Minister of Tourism ventures with Brasil Raft

This week, Brasil Raft Park received the Minister of Tourism Vinicius Lages, the National Secretary for tourism policies, Vinicius Lummertz, and the Director of International Marketing at Embratur, Gilson Lima. An action aligned with the Brazilian Association of Adventure Tourism Companies, where president Evandro Schütz aligns the interests of Adventure tourism with the ministry.

“Rafting is an excellent alternative for those who want to try adventure tourism”, said Vinicius Lages. Evandro Schütz, president of ABETA, said that the segment has adapted to new technologies and new customer profiles. “We want to change the image of adventure tourism. Before we promoted the boat in more radical moments, now we favor images of children and elderly people making signs of approval”, he said.

The descent was also attended by Mayor Cheio, and eight kilometers of the Paranhana River were rafted.

The adventure tourism segment represents more than 25% of all international travel in the world, according to data from ATTA Research. In Brazil, the “nature, ecotourism or adventure” segment occupies the second position in motivating foreigners who choose the country as a tourist destination.
