THE THREE CROWNS BUDDHIST TEMPLE
Do you want to get out of your routine at the weekend? Discover new places and have unusual experiences? We at Brasil Raft Park have some tips for you.
Spending a whole day enjoying everything our park has to offer is a good way to start the weekend. Fly down the canopy or zipline, take a few turns on the quad bike and have so much fun on a rafting descent… And a busy day like this deserves a day followed by rest and tranquility. A day of reflection, of calm. How about visiting a Buddhist temple and discovering the simplicity of Buddhist practice?
Khadro Ling is the Buddhist temple of Três Coroas, and is the headquarters of Chagdud Gonpa Brasil, a non-profit organization dedicated to the study and practice of Tibetan Buddhism. A community of Buddhist practitioners lives there and on their land is the first traditional Tibetan temple in Latin America.
A place with beautiful landscapes, an immensity of sky that gives you good things, a feeling of inner peace. There you can visit the temples internally, breathe fresh air, participate in ceremonies, retreats and meditations. On Sundays, at 9:00 am, there is a meditation practice open to the public. The visit is free, but if your group is over 10 people, you must book the visit in advance.
Some recommendations for visiting the temple: as the temple does not have restaurants or snack bars, you will have to worry about your food and, of course, take care of your own trash. On hot days, take insect repellent; Photography and videos are only permitted outside the temple. To find out how to get to the Temple, click here.
Enjoy what Três Coroas has to offer you. Rafting and meditation, a soul-washing combination!
